crowded house in concert @ the meijer gardens

There are no doubt some people who think:

1. That music always came on downloads for your ipod or if need be on those cd’s that you have to go to store and buy.

2. The hit song “Don’t dream it’s over” was an original song by Sixpence None the Richer”

There was a time when cassette tapes were the medium that was to replace, or at least supplement vinyl records and there was another band that first made the song “Don’t dream it’s over” a hit. So you see the answer to those two questions is found on my Crowded House Cassette tape that I still have all the way back from 1986 ….

If you were/are a fan Crowded House they are playing August 15, 2007 @ Meijer Gardens Summer Concert Series 2007

head on over to virb.com/music and see damien jurado as the featured artist. at virb.com/damienjurado you can hear “what were the chances” from his latest release “and now i’m in your shadow”. his lyrics paint vivid pictures of often sad and lost characters, but despite this the songs are compelling. my favorite album of his is “ghost of david” and features the song “parking lot” with rosie thomas on vocals. he and his bandmates are working on a new record and you can read more about it at secretly canadian
