One of the great bands of the eighties was the 77’s. Anyone who ever saw one of their legendary sets at the Cornerstone Festival might even try to convince you that they were the greatest rock band in the that you never heard of.

At a time when Christian Artists were hoping to be relevant and gain respect outside the confines of the Christian music industry, many hoped that their debut Island release would break them into the big time. Too bad U2’s Joshua Tree was released the same day and took a good portion of Island’s promotional resources.
