> the seventy sevens – “holy ghost building” album review

When Brian Quincy Newcomb says in a review that  the album reviewed is “a strong contender for  Christian Rock album of the year”, one  takes notice. The Seventy Sevens – Holy Ghost Building takes the band’s blues sensibilities to their logical end. But it is really a back to the beginning as this is an album of mostly blues and gospel classics done as only the Seventy Sevens can.

Holy Ghost Building is the best Seventy Sevens album since Sticks and Stones. The band sounds revived and it all seems to come together on the song I’ll Remember You Love, In My Prayers. I am not sure if it is the Christian Rock album of the year but it looks like it will be in my top albums.
