So in less than a year Apple has doubled the capacity of the ipod touch from 16 to 32 gig. That is a good start, but they need to be in the 80 or even 160 gig range before I will ditch my 30 gig zune in favor of an upgrade. Oh and a lower price would be nice too! The 32 gig goes for $499! This should be an energetic show. I saw Run Kid Run at Lifest 2006. The sound system at the “pit” stage was not good, but never the less they played well. I have not seen Everyday Sunday, but their new album is a very good …esp if you like power pop.
So in a previous post I speculated on the nature of the Apple announcement for today. Yes the nano is being redesigned and there will be an ipod using the iphone platform (called the ipod touch) and a new “classic ipod” with 160 gig!!!! That’s 40,000 songs folks!!! (and for only $349)
