> 2007 the year in review – modern worship…david crowder, aaron shust, future of forestry, the glorious unseen

The year saw some modern worship albums that are worth highlighting. 2 by familiar artists (Aaron Shust and David Crowder) and 2 by new artists (Future of Forestry and The Glorious Unseen).

Aaron Shust – Whispered and Shouted

From modern pop to more traditional arrangements Aaron Shust does it all well. The liner notes alone are worth getting this cd.

There are always days when I don’t feel like singing There are always days when I don’t care at all But I know the King of All Creation reigns completely Over every moment great and small Long live the One who gives us Life and peace and hope for tomorrow…(Long Live The King)”

-Long Live The King

David Crowder Band – Remedy

While less ambitious than A or B Collision it still makes for a satisfying listen.

where there is pain…let us bring grace. where there is suffering, bring serenity. for those afraid, let us be brave. where there is misery, let us be the remedy”

The Glorious Unseen – Tonight The Stars Speak

This is the worship band for people who don’t like worship music. The alternative rock arrangements will pull you in and soon you’ll be singing along.

You look down from heaven And melt me with your gaze Then you come down from heaven And wrap me in your wings And it makes me feel loved again So close in your arms And it makes me feel home again So close to your heart ”

- Close To Your Heart

Future of Forestry – Twilight

Another new band that takes it’s name from A CS Lewis poem.

When my broken world caves in And the darkness covers me With a love, love,  love that heals You come and make us one”

- Stay Beside Me
