There is a lot of hype surrounding U2′s new release and with good reason. After listening to Magnificent and hearing the great line “I was born to sing for you”, it reminded me that it was great lyrics that drew me to the band. One of my favorite U2 lines is from Walk On
So what is your favorite U2 lyric line?
Walk On is a fantastic song and I like the lyric you’ve chosen. I think there’s a ton of great writing on Achtung, Baby (the “love is a temple…” part in One, or parts of Until the End of the World or Ultraviolet).
While I think that the new album is a mess lyrically, the previous one, How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb, had some interesting ones. My favorite would probably be from Miracle Drug:
“Freedom has a scent like the top of a newborn baby’s head”

i’m enjoying the album MORE when i watch (and listen to) it
through ANTON CORBIJN’S film LINEAR.
THEN you get a different/better (to me) VIJ-AUD (VISUAL/AUDIO) experience that i want NLOTH to be.
i’m a U2-F4L and i’d give NLOTH
3.5 out of 5 stars BUT know the 360 tour help pump up int’l U2 enthusiasm and FAN-anatic-ism again.
